The Chemical Engineering College ,established in 1958,is one of the branch college of Inner Mongolia University of Technology (IMUT) located in the capital city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Hohhot.
The Chemical Engineering College is constituted of 5 departments and 2 research centers, and has 84 full-time faculties, 12 laboratory instructors. About 40 percents of the full-time faculties possess PhD’s degree. Training programs see Table 1.
The mission of the college is to give student basic and professional educations necessarily for their future occupation in the fields of engineering and technology with high theoretical and engineering qualification satisfactory to market demands.
The main tasks of the college are to raise regularly skills and knowledge of the teaching staff, to improve college’s chemical engineering base, to increase research and training quality.
At the present time, the college works with the goal to become one of chemical technology centers in INNER MONGOLIA. It is required for the college to raise teaching and researching level and to equal with modern scientific and technological progress demands.
After 50 years development, the Chemical Engineering College has become a key college of IMUT. More than 6000 students who have made great contributions to social development in different positions have graduated from Chemical Engineering College by 2008.
The Chemical Engineering College has become one of the leading colleges of IMUT on the discipline development, academic research and personnel training.
